Book a Tee Time
Hole 1

Hole 1

Par: 4   |  Yards: 425

Probably one of the course’s most difficult holes.

You can’t miss right from the tee because it is very tough to get out of the dense woods.

You have more room on your left side but it gives you a tough entrance to a big green that breaks all the way down to the front and right side. It has a bunker on the left and if you fall inside it, you may even fall of the green with the sand shot, so be sure – if you miss the green – to miss it on the right side!

If you go over the pin position and the green is fast you have a big chance of three putts, even if you’re a local golfer. It is a hole where scoring a par during competition can even be considered a birdie.

Hole 2

Hole 2

Par: 4   |  Yards: 350

The second hole is a short hole that has a big eucalyptus tree obstructing half of the fairway on the right, so you must play a fade in order to miss the trees on the left. If your drive goes over 260 yards you can fly those trees.

There’s a big bunker 15 yards before the green that if it catches your ball you will be playing a 40 yard bunker shot with out of bounds on the back of the green, scary shot. The green breaks all the way down to the front, and has a big hill on the right side that can lead to many putts, so don’t miss right!

Hole 3

Hole 3

Par: 3   |  Yards: 148

This par 3 is a real masterpiece of golf design. It looks very easy from the tees because it is short but there is no easy shot if you miss the green. It has a tiny entrance with a bunker on the left and the green continues after the bunker as an upside down L.

Missing on the sides means big slopes and no green to work with, so you should always miss the green on the opposite side of the pin, and make sure you are not long – the up and down job will be very difficult.

Hole 4

Hole 4

Par: 5   |  Yards: 490

This hole is probably the easiest hole in the course for the members. It is a straight, short par 5 that defends itself with some cross bunkers during your way, but it has a big and easy green.

The only trouble is if you miss the green on the left of the bunker, because that bunker shot is downslope and you’ll probably miss the green.

The only exception to this is when the pin is on the right side of the green. In that case, being in the bunker gives you a great chance to recover. Keep your ball on the right and you will make your first birdie!

Hole 5

Hole 5

Par: 4   |  Yards: 340

Number Five is a short hole where you can easily get yourself into trouble if you miss the fairway or the green.

In the center of the fairway there is a cross bunker, which demands a 200 yards carry to fly it over.  Even if you hit a long drive, as you get closer to the green, the second shot gets even harder. It is to an elevated green that has front, right and left bunkers with a steep slope at the back. It is better to hit a full shot to the green because this is one of those greens where the ball won’t spin back, in fact it will spin forward. But the cross bunker would prevent you from getting a full nine iron. So here you’ll prove your touch around 100 yards, if you do it well you might find another birdie.

Hole 6

Hole 6

Par: 4   |  Yards: 355

Number six is one of those holes that looks easy but is usually hated by members, because you can get many double bogeys at it.

The drive is straight but if you go 250 yards long you’ll find a cross bunker that can guarantee you a double bogey.

The second shot is one of the hardest in the course. This is because this is a big green with a false green surface of maybe 60% of the entire surface. All the front breaks back to the fairway, so the place where you should stop the ball on the top of the green is about 7 steps long. If you come short you’ll end up with a 50 feet putter up hill, and if you come long you’ll fall down to a tremendous slope with a very small green to work with. You have a right and a left bunker, don’t fall in the left bunker because it is really difficult to save par. Right bunker is easier, depending on the pin position.

Hole 7

Hole 7

Par: 4   |  Yards: 425

Here the most difficult part of the first nine holes begins.

This is a medium length par 4 that has a narrow fairway between 250 and 300 yards.

Tip: tee shot should be just a few yards short to the cross bunker.

The second shot depends a lot on the pin position. The green has a narrow entrance between a bunker on the left and a big hill on the right. If the pin is short, miss it short! If it is behind the hill don’t miss short because it is very difficult to make par. The bunker, in most of the cases, is not so bad. If you make a par in this hole you’ll be happy.

Hole 8

Hole 8

Par: 3   |  Yards: 208

This hole usually plays very difficult. The narrow entrance of the green makes it even more difficult for people that can’t fly the ball to the green. Miss short of the green on either of the bunkers and you will have a good chance of making par.

Always miss the green on the opposite side of the pin. Be careful with the slope that divides the green in front and back because it makes calculating speed harder. There are not many secrets on this hole, it’s mostly just what you see from the tees.

Hole 9

Hole 9

Par: 4   |  Yards: 415

The tees shot has a cross bunker on the left and the trees from hole number 1 that are very tricky because your ball might be lost. So never go right, from the left side there is always a better chance to recover.

The green is big and breaks all the way to the right, with a bunker on the left. Don’t miss it left. You will find an easy par if you play this hole safely and miss the green short or to the right.

Here’s a secret: If you miss it to the right go with a bump and run shot, don’t use your wedges because is a hard slope. The “texas wedge” shot with your putter might be a great choice.

Hole 10

Hole 10

Par: 5   |  Yards: 470

This is a beautiful short par 5, but with one of the best greens of the course. Don’t miss the fairway on the right if you want to make the green in two.

Target the left part of the fairway and bring it back with a fade or a draw over the cross bunker, you should carry 270 yards. If you missed it so far right that you got to the eighteen hole don’t try to come back! Go straight over the 18th tee, which is a great place to approach for a birdie.

The green has an enormous slope and a fake green on the left that goes all around a big bunker, leaving a very small pin platform behind the bunker. That platform is hard and is 8 steps long, so you have very little green area to stop the ball. Missing the shot to the left leaves you an uphill 40 steps putter with a big slope behind the green, but it’s not such a bad choice. If you are a good bunker player the bunker very close to the wall of the green is a good place to be, but a long bunker shot can be the beginning of the end.

Many members made fantastic eagles, and many more make doubles and others on this hole. Many professionals have been seen going from the front, across the green and back to the front again several times, making 8 or 9 shots.

Here we give you a small and important secret: if you miss the green long don’t use your wedges! It is a putter or a bump and run chip, but don’t try to flop the ball from behind.

Hole 11

Hole 11

Par: 5   |  Yards: 506

This is the easiest hole of the back nine. A 504 yards par 5, dogleg left.

Keep it right to have a better view of the green and get there in two.

Avoid the cross bunker on the right at 50 yards away from the green.

The green is quite plain, which makes it difficult to see where it is going to brake. On the left there are two bunkers and on the right a small bunker. Miss the shot on the opposite side of the pin if it is placed near one side.

A secret for good players: if your tees shot is on the left with no view of the green you can play a controlled hook, with 2 clubs less than you would usually play, and make the green. Target the right edge of the cross bunker and hook it as much as you can to make the green in two.

Hole 12

Hole 12

Par: 3   |  Yards: 175

A two holes Amen Corner starts here. This par 3 is probably one of the trickiest holes in the country. It has an elevated green with a bunker on the front left, and another on the front right.

The green is hard and has a narrow fake green on the front between the bunkers. Never miss long on this hole, it breaks all the way back to the front. Only if you miss long to the right you might get an uphill approach, but not on the back of the green. This is a hard green carpet, which makes it difficult to spin the ball so if you don’t hit the right distance it will roll back short or long. Every approach is difficult. The bunker on the right is not a bad place to be.

Hole 13

Hole 13

Par: 4   |  Yards: 444

A long straight par 4 where a straight tee shot is needed.

It has a generous fairway but don’t miss the fairway because you have a narrow green, another beautiful green design. There are two bunkers on each side of the green and a very big slope at the back that leaves a small and elevated pin position at the back, probably the most difficult.

Here is a secret, if you are far away and the pin is short, try to pass the pin, because the approach to a short pin is very difficult. If you miss short use your putter from the fairway. It is a St. Andrews shot. If the pin is on either side, don’t miss the bunker on the same side because it is very difficult to make par.

On the left, before the bunker, is the best place to be generally.

Good luck with this hole!

Hole 14

Hole 14

Par: 4   |  Yards: 390

This is a beautiful hole. From the tee keep the ball on the right side because you have a crossed green that faces the right side of the fairway, so the front of the green faces the right of the fairway. If you are on the left side of the fairway you have a green with no room, which bounces down hill because all the green brakes to the front and right. It has a big bunker on the left with a difficult pin position behind the bunker in a tiny part of the green. Avoid the bunker! Long of the green is a very bad place to be.

Secret: miss it short and right if you want a par to win the hole.

Hole 15

Hole 15

Par: 5   |  Yards: 511

This is a tricky par 5. The tee shot is very important because you have trees on the left and on the right. The green is surrounded by a group of big trees on the left that makes the second shot difficult. If you are going for the green in two shots, make sure you avoid the trees on the left. The bunker on the right of the green is never a bad place to be. There is an approach zone between the 100 yards and the green. If you missed the fairway, play it short to the 120 yards on the right side.

The green is divided in two, with a big slope on the middle that leaves a high back pin position, and an uneven short pin position. Don’t miss long!

Hole 16

Hole 16

Par: 4   |  Yards: 401

A medium length par 4, slight dogleg right. Avoid the trees on the right of the tees. Target the big tree that you see from the tee, you will get a good entrance to the green. The green is a beauty, no bunkers, hills on both sides and in the back. Many times you can use these hills to make a creative approach, but be careful and take a good look.

Hole 17

Hole 17

Par: 3   |  Yards: 170

This is for many people the best hole of the course, probably one of Argentina’s top three par 3s. A jewel of Golf Course Design by Dr. MacKenzie.

Slight dogleg left, an elevated green, maybe 5 feet, with a bunker on the front left and another on the back left. It has a big slope on the right, high on the right edge and brakes to the left. The front pin position is the most difficult; it gives very little space to make the green. With a front pin position, miss it short! And avoid the bunker!

With a back pin position, probably the best shot is a fade to the bunkers, because with middle and back pins the bunkers are not a bad place to be. On the right you have a blind and down hill approach shot. Draw players have a good entrance if they target the right edge and bring it back, but be sure it comes back. Secret: try to hit the green.

Hole 18

Hole 18

Par: 4   |  Yards: 354

A majestic short par 4 where anything can happen in match and medal play, especially match play. The tee shot is what you see from the tee, do all you can to make the fairway, very difficult trees on the left and right. A wood, hybrid and 3 iron are great choices, leaving a 100 to 150 yards second shot, that many times makes it easier to catch the green.

The green is a beauty, very similar in a way to St. Andrews 18th green, with a valley, a big slope and a fake green. Once you reach the highest point everything goes downhill to the back of the green. The most difficult pins are back left and front right, at the edge of the valley. With slow greens this hole generally gives you a good ending, but don’t be too greedy because you might end up in a disaster.

Missing long of the green is never too bad, but make sure you avoid the valley. If you are in the valley never try a flop, it’s almost impossible, grab your putter and be content with a chance for par.
